Russia settles temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine with "small nations" peoples
The ex-head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Serhiy Haidai, said that there are very few locals left in temporarily Russian occupied parts of Luhansk region
He stated this on Espreso.
“The lack of Internet and network connection in the occupied territories works against the occupiers because people share information among themselves through word of mouth. They see that occupiers are sending their equipment to mines and bases, making it difficult for the Russians to deceive them. The locals are aware of what is stored in Russian warehouses and headquarters and why they are targeted,” he said.
Haidai mentioned that the Russians are actively settling in the temporarily occupied Luhansk Region.
“Non-local people, especially from different small ethnic groups of the Russian Federation, are increasingly seen in towns like Sievierodonetsk and Rubizhne. This influx of non-local individuals has become a clear sign that the local population is decreasing,” he noted.
- As of July 23, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Artem Lysohor, reported that small settlements in the occupied Luhansk region have been without electricity for more than a year, and the Russians show no intention of repairing the damaged infrastructure there.
- On the same date, the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain reported that Russian troops in Ukraine are likely attempting to establish a buffer zone around the Luhansk region. They are making efforts to push back towards the Oskil River.
