Russia seems to have found itself a more reliable, powerful ally than US has been for Ukraine - Piontkovsky
Political scientist Andrey Piontkovsky says that Iran is ready to supply Russia with missiles with a range of up to 800 km, while the US does not give Ukraine anything with a range of over 80 km
This is reported on Espreso TV.
The political scientist commented on the threats of the Russian Federation with tactical nuclear weapons and the statements made periodically by Medvedev (deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation - Ed.): “The West responded to this in a dignified way. No one in the Russian Federation, except for Medvedev, is repeating this now. Russia was told that in the event of a nuclear attack on Ukraine, the Americans would not respond with nuclear weapons in order not to repeat such a crime. They will punish Russia even more brutally, but by conventional means, destroying the Black Sea Fleet and the Russian group. First of all, they will kill Putin, and he understands that.”
Andrey Piontkovsky noted that the Russian Federation began to say that they do not need nuclear weapons and will throw Ukraine into the stone age with conventional weapons.
“The West has not yet given an adequate response to this threat. I do not condemn the Americans now, this is our common problem. But it turns out that Russia has a more reliable and powerful ally. Great and technological Iran supplies missiles with a range of up to 800 kilometers, against which there is no defense. And the US, an ally of Ukraine, does not provide anything with a range of more than 80 kilometers, nor is it capable of protecting against enemy weapons. I am uncomfortable saying these words, but I repeat them in Washington, which looks as if Russia has found for itself a more reliable and powerful ally than the United States is for Ukraine. Something needs to be decided about this immediately. I hope that the G7 meeting will make decisions in the next two days. And Ukraine, it seems to me, should very firmly and publicly demand this,” Piontkovsky emphasized.
