103 combat engagements recorded in frontline, mostly in Kurakhove, Pokrovsk sectors

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that the occupying Russian troops continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, air and artillery strikes. The defense forces are taking all necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian invaders are trying to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops near Vovchansk with the support of aviation.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian Defense Forces nine times in the areas of Synkivka, Kruhlyakivka and Stelmakhivka. Two fights are still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions seven times near Druzhelyubivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske and Makiivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversky sector, Russian troops continue to look for weaknesses in Ukrainian defenses near Verkhnekamianske. Ukrainian troops repelled one attack and another firefight is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled three attacks by Russian invaders near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky. At the same time, the enemy aviation launched guided aerial bombs on Chasiv Yar and Druzhkivka. 

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attempted to penetrate Ukrainian defenses seven times in the areas of Dachne, Shcherbynivka, Nelipivka and New York. Russian occupation army attacked Shcherbynivka and Ivanopillia twice with glide bombs.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian invaders, supported by aviation, made 24 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novotoretsk, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, Mykhailivka and Krasnyi Yar. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 21 enemy attacks, with three combat engagements still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Russian army attacked 26 times in the direction of Tsukuryne, Ukrainske, Heorhiivka, Dalne and Kostiantynivka.  Twenty-three attempts by the occupants to advance have already been repelled.

In the Vremivka sector, five hostile attacks took place near Katerynivka and Bohoyavlenka. Three battles are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, invading Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked in the area of Huliaipole. At the same time, enemy aircraft attacked Pyatikhatky and Zherebianky with unguided missiles.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian army stormed the positions of the Defense Forces four times in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. One firefight is still ongoing.

Russia also unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian defenders four times in the Prydniprovskyi sector.

AFU operation in the Kursk region

The General Staff of Ukraine reports that the operation in the Kursk region continues.

‘Russian aircraft continue to raze Russian villages and towns to the ground. Since the beginning of the day, Russian aircraft have carried out twelve strikes with 16 guided aerial bombs on their own territory,’ the statement said.

• Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupation army lost 1,130 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Defense forces destroyed 6 tanks and 25 drones.
