187 combat clashes errupt on Russian-Ukrainian frontline over last day — Ukraine's General Staff

Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.

According to updated reports, yesterday Russian forces launched three missile strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, using five missiles. Additionally, they conducted 79 airstrikes, including 127 guided KAB bombs. Russian troops also carried out more than 4,580 attacks, including 154 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed over 1,450 'kamikaze' drones.

“Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of Ukrainian Defense Forces hit two control points, three Russian troop concentrations, weapons and military equipment, and one other important object," the Ukrainian General Staff said.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attempted two assaults near Vovchansk and Tykhe. Russian aviation also struck residential areas and civilian infrastructure in Vovchansk with anti-aircraft missiles. In addition, they attacked Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs and ballistic missiles, which resulted in damage to civilians and civilian infrastructure.

In the Kupyansk direction, 15 Russian attacks took place over the last day. Ukrainian defense forces repelled assaults near Synkivka, Kruhliakivka, Stelmakhivka and Pishchane.

Russian troops attacked 18 times in the Lyman direction. They tried to break into the Ukrainian defense near Druzheliubivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske, Makiivka, Novosadove and Bilohorivka.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders fought off three Russian troops' assault attacks near Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Dariivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops attacked four times near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces carried out 12 attacks near Dachne, Nelipivka, Toretsk and Shcherbynivka with the support of aviation.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 46 Russian assault and offensive actions targeting Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Krasnyi Yar, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, Marynivka, Myroliubivka, and Mykhailivka. The highest concentration of attacks occurred near Novohrodivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces beat back 40 attacks. Russian troops were most actively trying to advance near Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka. In addition, Russian troops attacked in the direction of Tsukuryne, Ukrainske, Dalne and Zhelanne Pershe.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian forces launched seven attacks near Katerynivka, Bohoiavlenka, Solodke and Zolota Nyva. They actively used attack and bomber aircraft to attack the area.

In the Huliaipole direction, Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked in the area of Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian forces stormed the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces five times near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. They unsuccessfully attacked five times.

There are no signs of Russian offensive groups forming along the Belarusian border.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russian forces are actively using artillery and aviation near Ukrainian settlements.

Operation in Kursk region

Ukrainian General Staff reports that the operation in the Kursk region continues.

“Russian aircraft continue to raze their own villages and towns to the ground. Over the past 24 hours, Russian aircraft conducted nineteen air strikes with thirty-nine multiple rocket launchers on their own territory,” the statement said.

  • Over the past day, the Russian army has lost 1,130 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders destroyed 14 tanks and 13 armored combat vehicles.
