Leopard tanks, self-propelled howitzers, drones: Germany hands over new aid package to Ukraine
On Thursday, September 19, the German government announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which includes Leopard tanks, anti-aircraft guns, and drones

The new military aid package includes:
- 22 Leopard tanks with spare parts;
- 22 MRAP mine-resistant vehicles;
- 5 Bandvagn tracked all-terrain vehicles
- Warthog all-terrain vehicle
- 3 Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery systems;
- 2 TRML-4D radars;
- 61 thousand 155-mm artillery rounds of ammunition;
- 30 VECTOR reconnaissance drones;
- 20 RQ-35 Heidrun UAVs;
- 12 Songbird UAVs;
- 6 Hornet XR UAVs;
- 20 surface drones;
- 3 BIBER armored vehicles;
- 1 armored engineering vehicle DACHS;
- 6 WISENT 1 demining vehicles;
- materials for the disposal of explosive ordnance;
- 2 AMPS self-defense systems for helicopters;
- 2 border patrol vehicles;
- 112 vehicles (trucks, vans, off-roaders);
- 8 Zetros tanker trucks;
- 10 MG3 machine guns;
- 1 million rounds of ammunition for small arms;
- 12 self-propelled howitzers PzH 2000;
- 16 ground surveillance radars.
In addition, Germany intends to approve military aid to Ukraine worth almost €400 million due to the deteriorating situation at the front.
In total, Berlin has so far provided or committed for future years military assistance with a value of approximately 28 billion euro.
