Russia is building up its military power: Stoltenberg comments on possibility of new Russian offensive
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Russia is constantly building up its military power. He called on the allies to increase support for Ukraine
He said this before a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels on April 3, European Pravda reports.
"We see how they receive significant amounts of ammunition and weapons from North Korea and Iran. And how Russia has managed to put its economy on a military track. And how Moscow is willing to pay a very high price - both in people and equipment - for minimal gains on the battlefield in Ukraine, with little regard for human lives," the Secretary General said.
According to him, this emphasizes the need for the Allies to do more - not only to meet Ukraine's immediate needs, but also to create more long-term structures.
Stoltenberg also noted that the supply of ammunition and weapons to the Russian Federation by the DPRK and Iran is the reason why NATO allies should make more efforts to help Ukraine in the field of air defense, as well as to increase artillery.

The Institute for the Study of War recently suggested that the Russian military may launch a large-scale offensive in the western part of Donetsk region in late spring.
