Russia moves sites for launching drones from Crimea to Krasnodar - Defense Express expert Ryabykh
The Russian army is trying to use different tactics to increase the effectiveness of the use of Iranian-made ‘kamikaze’ drones
Valery Ryabykh, director of development of the information and consulting company Defense Express, told about it on Espreso TV.
"The adversary is trying to use different tactics to increase effectiveness. They launch these Shahed drones at night to reduce the effectiveness of air defense because some of the means used to combat these targets are not very effective for night operations. In particular, these are machine gun mounts with conventional sights," - he noted.
Ryabykh added that the enemy constantly uses the tactics of changing the flight path.
"It must be said that the Russian Federation has certain reservations and does not launch these drones from Crimea, because it feels that they can be hit by the means available in Ukraine. That is why the enemy moved the launch sites to the territory of the Krasnodar region. The most effective tactic to combat these drones is destroying them at the launch sites. I think that after the previous attacks, the partners realized that Ukraine needs the means to destroy these terrorist weapons of the Russian Federation. It is necessary to obtain means of destruction that operate up to 2,000 km," the expert concluded.
