Suspect in General Kirilov's murder charged with terrorism and detained
On December 19, a Moscow court charged Ahmadjon Kurbanov with terrorism, murdering General Kirilov, and illegal weapon possession
Radio Svoboda reported the information.
Kurbanov, born in 1995, is accused of detonating an improvised explosive device hidden in a scooter parked near a residential building in Moscow on December 17.
The FSB claims that he was recruited by Ukrainian special services, and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said that the detainee was promised to be paid $100,000.
The report of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation claims that the suspect placed the bomb on an electric scooter parked at the entrance of the house where the general lived, and also rented a car where he installed a surveillance camera on Igor Kirillov. The footage was allegedly broadcast to the organizers of the Dnipro bombing.
After a video signal was received of Kirillov and his assistant leaving the entrance, the explosive device was remotely detonated, the Russian Investigative Committee said.
