Russia deploys 600 mobilized soldiers and cadets in bomb shelters of Zaporizhzhia NPP - Energoatom
Russian forces have deployed 600 mobilized soldiers and cadets in the bomb shelters of Zaporizhzhia NPP, where they are waiting to be transferred to the Donetsk direction of the frontline
This was reported by Energoatom, a national nuclear power state enterprise.
"A new batch of military personnel arrived at Zaporizhzhia NPP - more than 600 mobilized and cadets from the Russian Federation. They were placed in the bomb shelter of the plant for non-standard equipment (NSO), where they are waiting to be transferred to the Donetsk direction of the front," the statement said.
It is noted that Russian troops have set up a machine gun position on the roof of the 5th power unit and have also set up checkpoints at all entrances to the clean overpasses, through which personnel from special forces get directly to the power units.
Russian forces continue to erect fortifications and military installations around the power units and the dry spent fuel storage facility. They have denied access to the storage facility to both Ukrainian personnel and the IAEA representatives present at the ZNPP site.
