Russia continues to attack Ukraine from the territories of Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions, deploying about 19,000 troops on the border
This was reported by the press service of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports.
Russia conducts reconnaissance, shells border areas, uses aircraft and drones, and launches ballistic and guided missile strikes across the border to attack Ukraine.
In addition to military targets, Russia aims to destroy energy, transport and industrial infrastructure, hitting residential areas, hospitals, schools, shopping centers and warehouses with humanitarian supplies.
"To accomplish these tasks, the aggressor country has deployed a group of troops totaling about 19,000 people armed with tanks, armored combat vehicles, artillery and missile equipment, air defense systems and tactical missile systems," the press service said.
In particular, according to the press service of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, monitoring of Russian activity in the border regions of Russia and Belarus shows no signs of enemy strike groups forming.
- On the night of Saturday, December 30, Russia reported shelling of Belgorod, Bryansk, Moscow, Kursk and Orel regions: the alleged target of the attack was a factory that manufactures components for Iskander and Pantsir missiles.
