Russia "begs" for talks, but Ukraine sets 4 conditions — Danilov
Russia starts "begging" for negotiations with the help of mediators, but Ukraine has put forward 4 simple demands in response
NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said this in an interview with Radio NV.
"Putin sets the task of the complete capture of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, there is no secret in this. Most of all, they are now trying to understand that they do not have any capabilities to achieve the (goals) they set for themselves by capturing our country. Therefore, they are begging today. They take a whole pool of negotiators.
They are now doing a lot of work with certain groups to enter into negotiations. Brazil and others are already involved in mediation, "let's negotiate to somehow resolve this issue," said Oleksiy Danilov.
According to the NSDC secretary, Ukraine has four simple demands to Russia:
-
Liberation of all Ukrainian territories that are currently temporarily occupied;
-
Accountability through a tribunal for those who started the war, who killed children, the elderly, and women who had nothing to do with the military;
-
Guarantees of Ukraine's security;
-
Accountability.
Danilov emphasized that accepting the terms of the terrorists is absolutely unacceptable:
"This absurdity that is happening today must end sooner or later. We must put an end to this. When some people in our country believe that we need to be put in some kind of framework so that we can talk to Putin about something, of course, yes, but first Putin must meet the conditions that our country has. It doesn't work in any other way."
