The Mariupol City Council reported, citing the Occupation Study Center:
"Russian occupiers have built a railway line to shorten the delivery route for military equipment from Rostov-on-Don to Mariupol and Volnovakha. They plan to extend the railway line to Crimea," the report states.
The city council noted that the Russians continue to expand their military logistics around Mariupol and added that the new railway line in the "deep rear" is meant to simplify military logistics and reduce the Russian army's dependence on the Crimean Bridge.
"Partisans have repeatedly carried out sabotage operations, but the occupiers continue construction," the Mariupol City Council added.
- Russia has started demolishing the historic city center of temporarily occupied Mariupol under the guise of "restoration" measures.
