He made these remarks during a broadcast on the Espreso TV channel.

"The enemy had difficulty breaking through us head-on for a long time, trying to bypass Pokrovsk from the west to encircle the city. The situation has stabilized a bit there. Our brigade is working right by the city to the south. Currently, the enemy has reduced the intensity, but I wouldn’t say that their assault actions have completely stopped," the serviceman remarked.

According to the commander of the assault drone company of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade, previously, up to 20 Russian infantrymen would attack the defense positions every hour or two, assaulting from different directions and on various positions. Now, assaults have significantly decreased.

"We have even restored some positions, moving forward, pushing the enemy back," he emphasized.

  • On Sunday, February 16, it was reported that Ukrainian forces liberated the village of Pishchane, located five kilometers south of Pokrovsk.
  • On February 18, 156 combat clashes took place along the Russian-Ukrainian front line. The Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 50 enemy attacks in the hottest front line sector— the Pokrovsk direction.
