"Not so bold anymore": Ukraine’s Armed Forces on North Korean troops’ tactics in Kursk
Lieutenant Stanislav Krasnov, platoon commander of Ukraine's 95th Brigade, says North Korean troops fighting for Russia in the Kursk region are now acting more cautiously
He spoke about this during a stream on ArmyTV.
“They have changed their tactics and reduced their assault groups. Previously, up to 50 people were climbing through the fields, but now there are 10-15 people,” Krasnov explained.
According to him, the DPRK's military groups remain larger than Russia's but operate with caution. This is confirmed by aerial reconnaissance.
“Not as brazen as before,” he added.
The serviceman also said that Russian army units in the Kursk sector change quite often due to large losses of personnel.
"The personnel involved are not highly skilled, as evidenced by the captives, who are not professional stormtroopers. Some of them are cooks or recently wounded soldiers. They are advancing at all costs, throwing everything they have into the battle in an attempt to shift the tide," Krasnov said.
- On February 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that North Korean soldiers had resumed participating in the fighting in the Kursk region.
