Russia launches massive attack on Ukraine’s gas infrastructure - Ukrainian Energy Minister

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko reported the information.

According to him, the goal of these attacks is to halt gas production needed for household needs and central heating.

As soon as the security situation allowed, specialists began assessing the damage and carrying out restoration work. Experts are now taking all necessary measures to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and stabilize the gas supply.

"While Russia continues to blatantly lie about not targeting civilian critical infrastructure, we are witnessing multiple missiles deliberately striking Ukrainian gas production facilities," Halushchenko wrote.

The minister added that these actions once again prove Russia's attempt to harm ordinary Ukrainians by plunging them into the cold in the middle of winter. Halushchenko called it "outright terrorism."

• On the evening of Wednesday, February 19, Russia struck Odesa, injuring one person. In Kherson, guided bomb attacks left several wounded, including children. Air defense was also active overnight in the capital, Kyiv.
