Ukraine allegedly behind series of explosions targeting Russian drone pilots' FPV goggles

Babel's sources in the Ukrainian special services reported the information.

The operation's authors say they bought a large batch of FPV goggles for Russian army pilots. Ukrainian intelligence then equipped them with a remote detonation function. Coordinated with the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), Russian volunteers unknowingly sent the goggles as "charitable aid" to Russian drone units.

Russian propagandists report on dozens of similar explosions that took place in several regions of Russia during the first days of February.

"The number of such incidents will only increase, as 'Banderite hideouts' where goggles with surprises for Russian occupiers are made are now located not only in the Ukrainian Carpathians but also in Russian Siberia," the operation's authors note.

Sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasize that the long and complex operation is ongoing.
