Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to run for US president in 2024
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will run for president of the United States in 2024 – on April 5, the politician filed documents with the Federal Election Commission
Reuters reports that Kennedy Jr. will be the second promising candidate from the Democratic Party, who could become one of Joe Biden's main rivals.
Nevertheless, in 2017, the 69-year-old Kennedy was criticized for his skeptical attitude towards vaccines. In 2021, Instagram deleted Kennedy's account after the politician repeatedly posted false statements about COVID-19.
On March 11, Kennedy Jr. posted on Twitter asking for help in deciding whether to run for president. He noted that his priority would be to fight corruption and restore democracy.
“If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children and robbed us of our values and freedoms,” he said.
- Marianne Williamson officially launched her 2024 bid to run again for the Democratic nomination for the presidency on Saturday, pushing for the party to turn the page from President Biden.
