Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene seeks to impeach Biden
Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene has announced her intention to introduce a bill to Congress to impeach US President Joe Biden over his migration policy
She announced this on Thursday, May 18, The Hill reports.
Greene is dissatisfied with what she sees as the president's failure to enforce migration laws and protect the border with Mexico.
She has criticized the Biden administration over its plan to order Customs and Border Protection to allow migrants into the United States without a set court date or a way to track them. Under the plan, migrants would be required to register through a program until they are given a court date. Greene said the policy is tantamount to detain and release, allowing migrants to be released instead of detained until their court date.
“His policies, directives and statements surrounding the southern border have violated our laws and destroyed our country,” Greene said.
“Biden has blatantly violated his constitutional duty, and he is a direct threat to our national security,” she added.
According to her, this will be the first set of articles she will present against Biden.
