"Putin's hint": Kh-55 missile launched by Russia is capable of carrying 350-kiloton warhead - Defense Express expert Riabykh
Russia's shelling of Ukraine with the Kh-55 missile is a signal that should be taken very seriously and carefully, as this missile is capable of carrying a 350 kiloton nuclear warhead
The director of the Defense Express information and consulting company, Valerii Riabykh, said this on Espreso TV.
“The task of protecting critical infrastructure affects the agenda amid a terrorist attack. This is exactly what I associate with the transfer of short- and medium-range air defense systems. Amid the very critical dependence of the civilian population on the operation of these facilities - those that have never been protected - will now be put under increased protection. No one could have thought that in the 21st century, such facilities, which ensure the livelihood of the population, would be attacked by a country that has such great capabilities,” the expert noted.
According to Riabykh, the reaction of the international community is not “as effective as it should be.”
“It seems to me that this signal with the Kh-55 missile should be considered very seriously and carefully, because this missile can carry a warhead of 350 kilotons. This is a very powerful hint of this creature that has settled in the Kremlin,” he concluded.
