Putin firmly believes in patience of Russian people - military expert Yizhak
Military expert Oleksii Yizhak believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced that he can win a war of attrition and that the Russians will tolerate anything
He expressed his opinion on Espreso TV.
“It seems to me that Putin believes in what Stalin believed. Joseph Stalin, after the end of World War II, did not believe that he had won the war. And at one of the meetings, he made a speech about the "long-suffering of the Soviet people." It was then that he realized the great potential of the Russians to endure everything,” Yizhak explained.
The expert emphasized that it will be difficult for Russia to win this war of attrition.
“I think that Putin believes in the long-term patience of the Russians. He simply believes that the patience of the Russian people has no limits, unlike the Europeans. Russia, in numbers, suffers more from the war. They have significantly less potential than the West. It is not clear how they intend to wage a war of attrition. However, the main resource that Putin believes in and with which he wants to win this war is the patience of Russians,” he added.
