Power facilities in western and central Ukrainian regions are damaged due to massive Russian strike

Ukrenergo reports.

"This morning, September 21, a massive enemy missile attack damaged some facilities in the western and central regions," the statement reads.

It is noted that consumers in Rivne and Zhytomyr regions were also partially de-energized.

As of 10:40 a.m., the operation of main power grids in the region has been restored, and household consumers are being supplied with power. The attack also damaged the grids of a private joint-stock company in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions.

It is reported that emergency repair work began immediately after the all-clear signal was announced. 

  • On the morning of September 21, Ukraine experienced two waves of missile attacks from the Russian Federation. There are victims in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Cherkasy and Kharkiv. A hotel was destroyed in Cherkasy. 

  • In addition, at night and in the morning of September 21, Russian terrorists attacked the city of Kherson. Four people were killed and 5 others were injured as a result of the shelling.
