Political scientist explains whether US can spoil Iran's relations with Russia
Political analyst Oleh Lisnyi says that the US is working to push Iran away from Russia and create a conflict environment between them
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The United States can create certain grounds for Iran to have conflict points with Russia. After all, immediately after the news of the US secret talks with Iran, the price of oil reacted downward. There was also information that the United States had agreed with Iran that Tehran would not supply Russia with 'kamikaze' drones and components. Although Russia is already producing such drones on its own, it is the components for them that could become a problem for the Russians," Lisnyi explained.
The political scientist emphasized that consistent US cooperation with Iran could bring positive results.
"We can also talk about an extremely important case. Iran has not yet provided Russia with missiles. Although the Russians say that they have enough of everything, they are still collecting weapons around the world for the war with Ukraine. Therefore, I believe that the United States is doing everything very competently. Washington is working competently to push Iran away from Russia and create a conflict environment. However, this should have been done much earlier," he added.
