Poles crowdfund Bayraktar drone for Ukraine
People in Poland have collected 100% of the funds for Bayraktar drone for Ukraine, raising PLN 22.5 million (about USD 5 million)
This was announced by the initiator of the meeting, public figure, political scientist, and journalist, Slawomir Sierakowski.
It is known that more than 200,000 people transferred funds within the campaign "Let's buy Bayraktar drone for Ukraine", which was held on the crowdfunding platform Zrzutka.pl.
Sierakowski noted that despite the achievement of the goal of the campaign, the collection of funds will continue for several more days, as there are a large number of people willing to join it.
According to him, on Sunday, so many people wanted to join the action at the finish line that the servers of the Zrzutka.pl platform froze three times.
Sierakowski added that the surplus funds collected as part of the campaign will be transferred to the account of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the National Bank of Ukraine.
Previously, Sierakowski informed that there are "signals" from the mass media indicating that the Baykar Makina company can transfer the Bayraktar TB2 UAV to Ukraine for free, as was previously done in the case of the collected funds for Bayraktar in Lithuania and within the framework of Serhiy Prytula's project "People's Bayraktar".
