Poland believes Germany and Spain should make biggest contribution, transfer up to 150 Leopard tanks to Ukraine
Most Leopard tanks should be transferred to Ukraine by countries located far from the frontline. Germany and Spain can provide up to 150 tanks
The former commander of the Polish Ground Forces and the country's deputy defense minister, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.
“Most tanks should be given to Ukraine by the countries located as far as possible from the front. Poland is on the front line, so it cannot give many tanks. But Germany and Spain, which are far from the front, can do it. They should make the biggest contribution and together give about 150 tanks,” Skrzypczak said.
He noted that the formation of an international coalition regarding the transfer of tanks to Ukraine is in the right direction, but everything is happening “too slowly.”
