The Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram made this statement, according to the government's website.
"We must support Ukraine so that they can continue their fight for freedom and independence. We need more weapons. Jet artillery is a very popular weapon in Ukraine and in cooperation," Gram said.
M270 is a crawler jet launcher capable of firing at a distance of 32 to 300 km, depending on the ammunition. Norway plans to hand over three M270 jets and 5,000 shells to Ukraine. The systems need to be upgraded, after which they will be transferred to Ukraine.
