According to the special service, as a result of a special operation in the regional center, an FSB agent was detained. He was preparing the coordinates for the fire attack on key transportation routes.

Which geolocations were of Russian interest

"Among the enemy's priority targets were hub stations and railroad routes used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces to transport heavy weapons and ammunition to the front. The Russian invaders were also interested in the geolocation of medical facilities where Ukrainian soldiers undergo treatment and rehabilitation. Acting under the guise of a courier of a popular delivery service, the agent traveled around the area on his own scooter, where he recorded the objects he needed. He was supposed to send the information to his Russian supervisor via a personal chat in the messenger," the statement said.

The man was detained red-handed when he was preparing an agent's "report" to the FSB. The aggressor's accomplice was a local resident, an ideological supporter of "Russian world."

"He came to the attention of the Russians through his acquaintance from the Russian Federation, who cooperated with the FSB. The traitor also repeatedly spread pro-Kremlin views in Russian video chats. During such broadcasts, the offender spoke in support of armed aggression against Ukraine and justified the Russian war crimes. During the searches in the detainee's apartment, two mobile phones and a computer with evidence of criminal activity were seized," the SBU said.

FSB agent faces life imprisonment

A resident of Bukovyna has been charged with high treason committed under martial law (Part 2, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and with justifying, recognizing as lawful, or denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as glorifying its participants (Part 1, Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The perpetrator is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment.

The Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the resident of the Chernivtsi region, in support of the full-scale invasion, deliberately sought contact with representatives of the Russian Federation. "The so-called “curator” was found by the man through a messaging app. During their correspondence, he agreed to the Russian representative's proposal to regularly provide the enemy with information about the location of military and strategic objects in Chernivtsi. The suspect sent video files with the necessary coordinates of security, defense, and healthcare buildings to the 'client.' In return, he received monetary compensation to his cryptocurrency wallet," added the Prosecutor General's Office.

Other criminal cases of collaborators and traitors

In Rivne, 56 members of the Russian State Duma were sentenced in absentia to 15 years with confiscation of property. Among the accused are five people from Ukraine.

In the Khmelnytsky region, a deputy, her son and daughter leaked information about the Ukrainian military to the FSB. The suspects received a financial reward for their "work". They were detained while inspecting the locations of mobile air defense fire groups of Ukrainian Armed Forces. The transfer of the collected intelligence and photographs to the enemy was prevented.

Oleksandr Kostornyi, a strike adjuster at the Yavoriv training ground, was sentenced in Lviv. The former KGB officer collaborated with Russian FSB agents. A woman from Transcarpathia was suspected of spreading Russian fakes about biolabs in Ukraine and "networks for the sale of Russian-speaking children."

An FSB agent who was preparing missile attacks on the region was also detained in Rivne. He faces life imprisonment. In addition, law enforcement officers exposed two members of an agent network who were planning a series of terrorist attacks in Kyiv and Lviv on behalf of Russian special services.

Recently, a rector of a Russian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate church in Khmelnytskyi region was exposed for praising Putin and supporting the war. And in Transcarpathia, a woman who claimed that it was Ukraine that was "wiping Donbas off the map" was tried.
