Russia intensifies construction of fortifications in Crimea due to approval of US aid to Ukraine
The Atesh guerrilla movement recorded that Russians have intensified the construction of fortifications throughout the temporarily occupied Crimea
This is reported by the Atesh movement.
"We observe this process near the coastline, on the administrative border with the Kherson region, as well as in the center of the peninsula. New trenches are being constructed, old ones are being reinforced, and the security of logistics facilities is being strengthened," the statement says.
The guerrillas also suggest that such activation is likely related to the approval of military and financial assistance to Ukraine.
"The news of the imminent arrival of ATACMS ballistic missiles in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is of great concern to the Russian authorities. After all, these missiles, in combination with F-16 fighters and other means, can destroy the Crimean bridge, which will dramatically change the situation on the battlefield," Atesh agents note.
- On April 23, Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with US President Joe Biden, during which the two leaders discussed the first package of US aid after the law was passed and the delivery of ATACMS.
