NASAMS missiles in new military package offer vital protection for Ukrainian skies - Defense Express Editor-in-Chief Katkov
Oleg Katkov, Editor-in-Chief at Defense Express, has suggested that, if the transfer of NASAMS was announced for July and training is now underway, the air defense systems may be placed on combat duty as soon as September
He expressed his opinion on Espreso.
The editor-in-chief of Defense Express commented on the new package of military aid to Ukraine from the United States.
"As for equipment, the new package is about 50 M113 armored personnel carriers, and all other money will go to high-precision missiles for HIMARS and, most importantly for us, missiles for NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems. In this billion-dollar tranche, a large part of the amount will be for missiles to these RZK. This is extremely important, because soon NASAMS will already be protecting Ukrainian skies."
Katkov suggested that if the transfer to NASAMS was announced for July, and training is now underway, accordingly, the air defense systems may already be on combat duty by September.
