Most important thing now is to increase both military and financial support to Ukraine - MEP Jakop Dalunde

The member of the European Parliament believes that the resolution recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism will help bring the country to justice for its war crimes.

“It sends a strong signal both to Russia and the rest of the world that we don't tolerate this terror that Russia imposes on the Ukrainian population. And I hope that in the future it will also lead to more legal measures that we'll be able to use to make sure that this kind of terror will not continue,” Jakop Dalunde said. 

Answering a question about whether the European Union will support Ukraine until victory in the war with Russia, the Swedish politician said: “I think so and I will do my best to do so. We need to make sure to handle the energy situation so that this energy warfare that Russia tries to impose on the European Union doesn't undermine the will to support the Ukrainian people. But so far I have been heartened by the support both from the public and from the politician sphere, even though we need to do more.”
