Russian group near Kremianoye faces threat of operational encirclement — military expert
Dmytro Sniehyriov, military expert and co-chairman of the Prava Sprava civil initiative, noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to advance deep into Russian territory
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The threat of operational encirclement of the Russian group near the village of Kremianoye has emerged. During the Russian counteroffensive on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Kursk region, Ukraine’s General Staff decided to strike at the rear of Russian forces. Ukrainian defense forces successfully overcame the occupiers' engineering obstacles, including minefields and the so-called dragon's teeth, advancing deeper into Russian territory," emphasized Dmytro Sniehyriov.
According to the military expert, the Ukrainian Defense Forces demonstrate a steady advance in the Kursk region.
"Currently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are effectively controlling the village of Vedmezhye, with access to the Glushkovoye railway station. Advances have also been recorded in the areas of Veseloye and Novy Put, indicating an expansion of the zone of presence of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian territory," said Dmytro Sniehyriov.
- The Ukrainian military has observed chaotic and inaccurate shelling by Russia in the Kursk region. This erratic firing likely involves military personnel who are still in training.
- The Regional Operational Headquarters of the Kursk region has decided to evacuate the population from the 15-kilometer border zone with Ukraine.
