Russia employs record number of drones in southern Ukraine
Colonel Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, reveals that Russian troops use up to 80 FPV drones per day
She spoke about this on Espreso TV.
"The enemy is stepping up its air reconnaissance efforts. They are using smaller lethal drones to gather information since their previous aircraft (A-50) is currently being replaced. Over the past two days, a record number of FPV drones have been observed, up to 80 during one combat day. This poses a significant threat and shows an increased capability on their part," mentioned Humeniuk.
She added that during the last combat day on January 28, Southern Defense Forces observed 40 Russian FPV drones and over 27 drones dropping explosive devices. Unfortunately, due to this hostile activity, there are casualties among the civilian population.
