Medic injured as Russian troops shell maternity hospital in Kherson

Yaroslav Yanushevych, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported the information.
At 4:58 p.m., the regional governor wrote that employees of the Kherson Regional Municipal Emergency Rescue Service had already started repairing the perinatal center.
"Due to the Russian attack, many windows in the building were shattered. The maternity hospital cannot remain in this condition!" said Yanushevych.
As of 3:28 p.m., it is known that an employee of a perinatal center was injured.
"The woman received minor injuries, her life is not in danger," Yanushevych said.
At 2:07 p.m., the shelling of the maternity hospital was reported.
"Russian invaders attacked the perinatal center in Kherson. Due to the explosion of a shell fired by Russian troops, the perinatal center in Kherson caught fire," the official informed.
A powerful blast wave in the children's department shattered the windows, the shell damaged one of the rooms.
According to preliminary information, employees, patients and children are unharmed.
"Specialists are currently dealing with the consequences of the occupiers' vile attack against women with babies and medics," added Yanushevych.
