"LPR" starts "general mobilization" to Russian army - Ukrainian intelligence
Ukrainian intelligence has learned that, in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, Russian forces have announced the beginning of a "general mobilization" for the army.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense informs about this on Telegram.
"In the temporarily occupied city of Svatove, a radio broadcast of the speech of the so-called head of the "LPR" Pasichnyk took place. During the speech, the beginning of "general mobilization" was announced," says the information of the State Government.
Pseudo-mobilization will begin on September 1 in two stages - residents who have passports of the LPR and the Russian Federation, and those who have military accounting specialties; and all other men between the ages of 18 and 65.
Campaign end dates are not announced.
"It is also known that personnel of the Russian Guard arrived in the occupied Dovzhansk (formerly Sverdlovsk) of the Luhansk region to carry out administrative and police measures. Namely: conducting checks of population documents, checks of vehicles, etc. These measures are aimed at finding and detaining deserters between servicemen of the "L/DPR" and the Russian Armed Forces," the press service added.
The GUR informs that the Rosguards are not subject to the occupation administrations, because they searched the "head" of the Dovzhansk occupation administration Andriy Suhachev.
