Lavrov says he received Blinken's message on Ukraine from Egyptian Foreign Minister
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says the Egyptian counterpart has conveyed to him US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's message on Ukraine
Russian media report that during the talks, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry conveyed the US State Secretary's message to Lavrov.
“Mr. Minister said that he had conveyed a certain message from Secretary of State Blinken, who recently visited Cairo. I confirm this,” Lavrov said.
He also clarified that he considered Antony Blinken's offer to be frivolous.
“Russia is always ready to listen to any serious, I emphasize this word, proposal aimed at resolving the entire current situation in its comprehensive context. In this sense, we have heard once again through Mr. Minister the message that 'Russia must stop', 'Russia must leave', and then everything will be fine,” Lavrov said.
