Kremlin wants negotiations only to get time and kill more Ukrainians - Glen Grant
On the air of the All about Ukraine program, the UK military expert, retired colonel Glen Grant talked about the Russian troops' withdrawal from Kherson, how this decision could affect the further dynamics of the war, as well as whether the Kremlin is ready for negotiations
The UK military expert does not believe that the Russian troops' withdrawal from Kherson will greatly affect the dynamics of the war in Ukraine.
“I'm not sure it (withdrawal - Ed.) actually does change the dynamic of the war very much. They are just moving further away, that's all. In military terms, it doesn't make a sudden big change, unless the Russian troops actually collapse and start going backwards towards Crimea,” he said.
Answering a question about whether Moscow is ready for negotiations, Glen Grant said: “The Kremlin is not going to do anything soft in any shape of war. They will do everything they can to win and the war will keep going. So if the Kremlin wants negotiations, it is just to get time so that they could come back again and kill more Ukrainians.”
