Kim Jong Un calls Russia's war on Ukraine "sacred struggle for justice"
DPRK leader Kim Jong Un congratulated Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on May 9 and called his war against Ukraine a "sacred struggle to realize international justice"
The greeting was published by the North Korean Central News Agency.
On May 9, Kim Jong-un sent a congratulatory telegram to Russian President Vladimir Putin and mentioned the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.
"Availing himself of this opportunity, Kim Jong Un in the message extended warm militant greetings once again to the president, army and people of Russia who courageously turned out in the sacred struggle to realize international justice and defend global peace against the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the imperialists," the statement said.
The North Korean dictator also expressed confidence in Russia's victory.
"The message expressed belief that the strong and righteous Russian people would smash all challenges and threats by hostile forces and as ever win victory in the course of ensuring the sovereignty and dignity of the country and stability of the region under the leadership of the Russian president," the telegram reads.
