This was reported on a website of Kherson City Council.

“Kherson is surrounded by occupiers. We can't leave. No one can come to us. The city is running out of flour for baking bread, problems with medicines and fuel. Businesses have been stopped, many people lost their jobs. But! - the city authorities are helping people who can't buy bread. Kherson residents support each other by organizing mutual aid points, go to community work days, clean up the city, two colors are popular in Kherson: blue and yellow, blue and yellow flag still on the City Council building. Locals even painted curbs in blue-yellow ", - mentioned in the message.

It is noted that no one is waiting for Russia here, no one wants it.

"And this is not just the personal opinion of one person or a small group of people. This is the opinion of the almost 300K population of Kherson. Kherson is Ukraine!", - City Council emphasizes.

They added that Kherson region is considered a Russian-speaking region, but in fact it is bilingual - Ukrainian and Russian are well used.

“ We all have Ben living friendly. Until to our peaceful Kherson they came, to free us no one know from what exactly. The question is how they free us and we do have the answer: they destroyed our houses, kill people, civilians that just lived their own lives, they robed, and scares us. Indigenous Russians are switching to Ukrainian language in protest of such a "liberation," - statement said.
