Many ordinary Russians still perceive Putin as an intelligent, "tsar-like” political figure who loves his homeland but is constantly let down by corrupt and incompetent officials. And they are sure that Russia is carrying out its messianic mission to the world, and Moscow's defeat in Ukraine is a temporary phenomenon.

Unfortunately, many still perceive modern Russia as a much worse version of the western state. However, this does not apply to modern Russia at all. Historically, "the Tsar is good, but corrupt officials hinder him" goes back centuries. Generation after generation, serfdom instilled in Russians the psychology of slavery, and the slave did not need freedom. The slave is not ready to take responsibility for life. Therefore, it is much easier for slaves when Putin and TV think for him.

Even after the defeat in Kherson, the dictator is not ready to withdraw voluntarily from all the occupied Ukrainian territories. He will stall for time, waiting and hoping for a miracle to save his regime. Therefore, it is time for the United States and NATO countries to increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine to a new level to completely demoralize the Russian army.

The goal of the selfish ruler, who leads a criminal kleptocratic regime, has never been to improve the standard of living of his citizens, instead sending young people to their deaths in pursuit of an unjustified Imperial takeover of a foreign land.

Although Putin's TV propagandists continue to pump information into the brains of TV viewers that Kherson is nothing more than a strategic retreat, there is nothing terrible in this because it was carried out to regroup the military forces, most naively buy it. Putin is simply obsessed with Ukraine, and for him to give up on the Ukrainian issue is akin to losing faith in his "historical destiny."

But Russian society is not ready to resist Putin's geopolitical adventures yet. Since the beginning of total mobilisation in Russia, young people have begun to flee the country not because they do not agree with the military aggression against Ukraine or because they dislike their life president so much. Everything is much simpler - they just didn't want to die. The tyrant continues to take advantage of the infantile nature of society, which is more likely to send its relatives to the battlefields than to go out to mass protests against the regime.

In the Russian Federation, there is a large part of the population perceives the truth of the former Soviet and current federal propaganda about the need to protect "Mother Russia" as a tremendous historical state from the "spiritless", "aggressive", "anti-Slavic" and "morally decomposed" Western world. The militaristic legs of the "Russian world" grow precisely from these imperial postulates, creating inevitable problems for future generations who should not care about the former Soviet Union, which Putin will never be able to revive in any way.

In future studies of the Russian-Ukrainian war, historians will say that Putin lost the war before February 24, 2022, as soon as he and his accomplices decided to break into Ukraine. But the Ukrainians had a strategy, and Russia only had cruelty. And the strategy, in the end, won out.
