Italy approves sixth military aid package to Ukraine
Italy has approved the sixth military aid package to Ukraine. The country's authorities consider it necessary to continue arming Ukrainian soldiers
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani reported this.
Earlier, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of war. According to him, Zelenskyy “should have stopped attacking the two autonomous republics of Donbas, and this would not have happened.”
Tajani said that Berlusconi's words do not reflect Italian policy.
“Italy is not NATO's weak link,” he assured.
“Italy wants peace, which can only be achieved by continuing to arm Kyiv,” Antonio Tajani noted.
He announced the sixth package of military aid to Ukraine, which was approved by the Italian government on February 15. However, it is not yet known what exactly will be included in the package.
