Invading Russian forces accuse Ukraine's Armed Forces of shelling Donetsk, killing civilians: Reznikov's adviser calls it an attempt to distract UN from Russian crimes in Izyum
Oleksii Kulemzin, the "mayor" of Donetsk, says that 13 people were killed as a result of shelling in the Kuibyshevskyi district of the city on September 19.
A representative of the Russian occupation administration wrote about this on Telegram.
According to him, two children were among the dead. "The number of wounded is being specified," he said.
It follows from Kulemzin's report that the shelling, which he called "punitive", was carried out by the Ukrainian military.
The DPR also reported the death of three people due to a fire at the market in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk.
Oleksii Kopytko, adviser to Ukraine's Minister of Defense, reacted to the events. He emphasized that before tomorrow's opening of the UN General Assembly, where the main issue on the agenda was to be the genocide of Ukrainians and mass murders in Izyum, Putin gave the order to shell Donetsk and kill civilians in order to divert the attention of the world community.
"Everything is according to the usual scheme. On the eve of important events at the UN General Assembly, where, among other things, the issue of Russia's crimes will be actively raised with a further initiative to exclude, or at least - to review the status of this terrorist state in the Council of the UN and to shift attention from mass burials in Izyum, the Russians are beginning to disperse information about the shelling of Donetsk allegedly by the Ukrainian side... This pattern has not changed for 8 years. And this is their problem," the adviser to Minister Reznikov said.
