Idea of Redan movement is to create confrontation and to make teenagers angry – psychologist
The Redan youth movement is destructive and aims to spread uncontrolled chaos among Ukrainian teenagers
Zoya Harkavenko, PhD in Psychology, commented this on Espreso TV.
"This is the Redan movement itself. The fact that the source of origin is Russia only emphasizes that it is destructive. There is an interesting model there – two opposing movements are being created – Redan and Anti-Redan. Those who administer this story understand that they need to create a contradiction, a confrontation. What is the danger for teenagers? They do not realize that they are being manipulated, but they are immediately pitted against each other. If you ask what the idea is, it is uncontrolled chaos," she said.
In recent days, information about the so-called Redan youth movement, which was first recorded in Russia, has been spreading in Ukrainian cities: teenagers gather in large groups in public places and start fights.
As of the morning of March 1, police reported at least 41 gatherings of young people within the Redan PMC movement, which is of Russian origin. Law enforcement prevented clashes.
