Gross violation of international law, UN Charter: OSCE condemns Russia's attempt to annex Ukrainian territories
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has condemned Russia's attempt to annex Ukrainian territories, saying that Putin is destroying the principle of international order
This was reported on the official website of the OSCE.
"The illegal annexation of sovereign Ukrainian territory, announced today by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is unacceptable. It destroys the principle of territorial integrity, which is the basis of the fundamental principles of the OSCE and the international order," the statement said.
In addition, they also added that the actions of the Russian Federation, which include military mobilization and nuclear threats, will only lead to a greater escalation of the conflict. This will put millions more lives at risk and cause even more suffering.
"We once again call on the Russian Federation to withdraw all its forces from all of Ukraine. We also confirm our unwavering support for the population of Ukraine in these difficult times and our commitment to the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders," the OSCE noted.
