"Good Russians" is a complete lie - Valeriy Chaly
Regarding "good" Russians and different attitudes towards Putin's regime and the Russian people...
I declare with all responsibility: whoever will believe this, excuse me, complete lie - will be the last fool, and if it happens to Ukrainian officials or politicians (even after everything that has happened), then you can consider him or her inadequate to reality and incompetent.
I testify that I personally spent many years of my professional life trying to avoid a basic conflict with various Russian regimes and, accordingly, the Russian-Ukrainian war. I did this in high positions of power, and as a diplomat, analyst, and public figure. I personally communicated with many really influential representatives of their leadership (including the current leaders).
I mistakenly believed (admittedly, only somewhere before the end of the last century) that it was possible to settle disputes with them through reasonable compromises.
In reality, all this only made it possible to drag out a large-scale war and clash for survival. Our confrontation with the Russian regime and the Russian population is existential: either we will survive as a single nation and a strong European country, or they will survive as a territory between Europe and Asia, inhabited by a militant population with blurred orientations in the absence of common consolidating human values.
If you hear a Russian urging you not to put him the consequences of the criminal actions of Putin's regime, don't do it: each of them had many chances to make their moves over the course of dozens of years.
And in the early 2000s, it did not even require any courage. They wanted SO THEMSELVES. This is their creation and their JOINT responsibility.
If you hear from Americans and Europeans that Putin's regime must be moved, and democratic "good Russians" must be brought to power, be patient and explain to your partners their deep mistake.
If you hear Ukrainians calling for the same, know: they are TRAITORS and potential "inviters" of aggression and war on our lands. Marry them with their moderate, "wise" neutral position with a dirty broom.
