Germany provides Ukraine with additional aid, including 6 bridge-layer tanks and 20,000 first-aid kits
The German government has updated the list of aid it will provide to Ukraine. The new package includes bridge layers, first aid kits, vehicles, and camouflage nets
This is stated on the German government website.
A total of 9 BIBER bridge-layer tanks will be provided (previously they planned to send 6), as well as 120 thousand first-aid kits (instead of 100 thousand), and 28 Zetros vehicles (instead of 20). Also, 10 winter camouflage nets appeared on the list.
Militarnyi explained that Zetros trucks are designed to operate in extreme off-road conditions. These vehicles have quick access to the engine for easier repairs and are more stable compared to conventional trucks.
Biber bridge-layers are engineering combat vehicles that carry and deploy bridges over obstacles.
"Biber is based on the chassis of the Leopard 1 tank. Instead of a tower, it is equipped with a bridge erection system. The bridge is laid horizontally, the main advantage of this design is that it is invisible to the enemy," the message says.
