Foreign Minister Kuleba warns Ukrainians of difficult autumn
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has warned that Ukrainians will face a difficult autumn and a new political season
He explained during a conversation with journalist Vadym Karpiak that the reason for his prognosis is calls to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia. According to him, these "voices" are likely to come from different countries in autumn.
"It will be a very difficult political season, I warn everyone. We will definitely win on all fronts, but it will be a hard autumn," Kuleba said.
In addition, according to the minister, during the meeting with diplomats, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy set various tasks for them. These included holding a peace formula summit, involving philanthropists in the process of rebuilding Ukraine, and restoring grain corridors.
So there are also many important international summits scheduled for autumn, where Kyiv needs "the quantitative and qualitative presence of the whole world, not just our traditional friends from Europe and North America."
"Secondly, you see all these voices that are beginning to be heard in different countries of the world, saying that there are 'problems' and that negotiations are needed. It's not coming from government officials, but these voices are getting louder. We will do everything within the framework of international law and criminal law to ensure that these voices fade away," Kuleba said.
He also noted that diplomats continue to face another task: to make sure that "the ground under the feet of Russians is burning all over the world".
On August 10, Dmytro Kuleba said that after the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy might agree to negotiate with Russia, but not with dictator Vladimir Putin.
