Five prosthetic veterans hike in Carpathians to raise funds for soldiers
Five prosthetic veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war have set out on a hike in the Carpathians to raise UAH 10 million for the needs of their brothers-in-arms
One of the participants of the campaign, Oleksandr Shvetsov, said this, Espreso reports.
On September 3, five prosthetic veterans went hiking in the Carpathians to raise UAH 10 million for their brothers-in-arms. These are the 30th Detached Mechanized Brigade, 95th Air Assault Brigade, 1st Tank Unit 1815, Luhansk and Kramatorsk Border Guard Detachments.
Additionally, Oleksandr Shvetsov, Yevhen Smaha, Oleksiy Burlakov, Anatoliy Kirda, Denys Sherenhovskyi (who were wounded in different years of the Russian-Ukrainian war) are carrying bags of 10 kg of sand in their backpacks. And for every million raised, they will lose a kilogram of additional weight. The men will transfer the money raised to the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, which will purchase and deliver the equipment at the request of the five units.
"Our goal is to raise funds and prove that despite the injuries, life goes on," Oleksandr Shvetsov wrote on his Facebook page. "And we are not tired of fighting and helping our comrades!"
