Europe haven’t seen such horrors since Nazi invasion, - His Beatitude Sviatoslav
Just a few dozen kilometers from Kyiv in liberated towns we have seen horrible war crimes, mass graves with hundreds dead bodies, people shot in the streets, sometimes with their hands tied, naked female bodies that they were trying to burn.
This was stated by Head of Greek Catholic Ukrainian Church Sviatoslav in a daily military statement on the 39th day of Russia's war against Ukraine.
Head of Greek Catholic Ukrainian Church considers that during the last day of the last night, our land was shaking again from Russian bombs and missiles. Our cities and villages are on fire again. Howls, cries and screams are heard today from Ukrainian land up to the heavens.
"But Ukraine stands! More than ever, Ukrainian people are gaining a strange internal strength to defend their homeland, this strength, this determination is provided even by the horrible scenes we are seeing in liberated cities and villages of Ukraine," said the Head of the Church.
Europe saw such horrible scenes, liberating its own cities and villages from the Nazis, he mentioned. Today Ukraine is contemplating this. And it’s so important that the whole world sees and hears this.
"Heard breaks from seeing Russian trucks taking robbed property out of Ukraine. The property of these innocent victims, whom they wanted to wipe off from the face of the earth," added His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
