"Erdogan shows his attitude to Putin": former military prosecutor Chumak on Azovstal commanders returning to Ukraine
The former military prosecutor of Ukraine Viktor Chumak believes that the return of the Azovstal commanders proved that nobody takes Putin seriously and has no fear of Russia
He stated this on Espreso.
“I believe Erdogan is a very smart person who knows how to make successful plans. I could be wrong, but Erdogan has his own responses to the Russian blackmail regarding the "grain agreement" termination. Let me explain the situation. The return of our commanders from "Azovstal" shows the kind of relationship Erdogan has with Putin. It can also be seen as a result of this war and Putin's strength or weakness,” he explained.
The former military prosecutor mentioned that Erdogan always acts in his own interests.
“It is clear that if there was fear of Russia or Putin, our commanders wouldn't have been returned. Currently, nobody is afraid of Russia. Erdogan has never shown weakness towards Russia, but rather works for his own benefit. Now, we have an agreement between Ukraine and Turkey. They are returning our heroes to us, and we will continue the "grain agreement" without any doubt,” he added.
