Entire Ukraine will burn: Medvedev promises tough retaliation for strikes deep into Russia and Crimea

According to Medvedev, if Ukraine uses new American missiles with a range of 150 km to strike at the territory of the Russian Federation, all available weapons will be used in response.

"Our response can be any. The Russian president said this quite confidently. We do not set ourselves any restrictions and, depending on the nature of the threats, we are ready to use all types of weapons. In accordance with our doctrinal documents, including the basics of nuclear deterrence. I can assure you that the response will be quick, tough and convincing," Medvedev said.

According to him, the strikes on Crimea will not force Russia to sit down at the negotiating table, as the United States allegedly hopes, but will lead to an escalation.

"The result will be exactly the opposite. There will be no negotiations in this case, only retaliatory strikes. The entire of Ukraine, which remains under the rule of Kyiv, will burn," Medvedev promised.
