Elon Musk has an extremely negative impact on world politics. The United States must prevent his destructive intent

This was stated by New York University Professor Igor Eisenberg on Espreso.

"Elon Musk can have an absolutely devastating impact on world politics. He did not approve the activation of the Starlink service to operate over Crimea in order to hit the Russian Black Sea Fleet with Ukrainian drones. I would compare the attitude of his policy to Trump's policy when the latter met with Putin in Helsinki and tried to please him," the New York University professor said.

According to him, Musk is playing an even more destructive role. Trump, after all, was the president, he had a certain framework within which he could act. For Musk, there is no framework.

"His affection for dictators like Putin is the same as Trump's. The US as a country needs to make sure that it does something about it," Eisenberg said.

Musk's role will be even more disruptive if he has no competitors and no legal framework to limit what he does.

"Musk cannot become president of the United States because he was not born in the United States. But his influence on American and world politics and on events in the world can be very destructive. In the current Congress, I think it's unrealistic to do this. The Republican majority will always like what Musk is doing," said Igor Eisenberg.

  • The New York Attorney General has accused Trump of overstating his wealth by USD 3.6 billion
  • On 2 October, another trial against former US President Donald Trump is due to begin, but New York Attorney Letitia James called on the court to declare him a fraud before the hearing
